Family Therapy

Family is the foundation of our culture.

Even when problems occur with individuals in the family, they effect everyone. Family Therapy has shown to be a very effective form of therapy, since it involves all of those people impacted. Often this form of therapy is brief and results in lasting change for all involved.

Family Therapy can be especially helpful for the following situations with one or more member:

  • Depression or Anxiety
  • Separation or Divorce
  • Remarriage
  • Eating Disorders
  • Alcoholism
  • Drug Addiction
  • Death of a loved one
  • Recovery from abuse or neglect
  • Behavioral Problems in Children
  • Life Transitions

Family Therapy is a Specialty.

While other counselors may claim to provide family therapy, many are actually not qualified to treat family systems due to their lack of education and supervision in Family Systems Theory.

Without this unique form of preparation, family therapy can often cause problems to get worse, rather than better. Be sure your therapist has a minimum of 2 years of Graduate-Level training in "Family Systems Theory."

We welcome everyone.
