Aaron Horn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has worked with families and adolescents since 2000 in a variety of roles. He completed his graduate degree at Appalachian State University in 2013 and followed that with clinical internships at CareNet Counseling Center and Gateway Alternative School. Since that time, he has worked at First United Methodist Church Counseling Center serving the families of Caldwell County.
Aaron believes that psychotherapy is a powerful tool that helps you reach your full potential and find solutions to life’s struggles. He believes that healthy marriages take work and that we all need help from time to time. Throughout his career he has worked with a broad range of people who were experiencing both high and low points. He understands that stress and anxiety can impact a family as well as an individual. Aaron’s varied experiences have taught him to look at life and family from a holistic point of view with a focus on solutions.
The majority of Aaron’s professional and volunteer experiences are working with adolescent youth and their families. He has spent time kayaking the rivers of North Georgia with at-risk-youth, leading small groups in classrooms, providing individual counseling sessions and giving professional presentations. He is also an amateur race car driver and restoration enthusiast, focusing on long distance automotive rally racing.
“I consider it an honor to work with each individual that steps into my office. Each of our life
stories is rich, vibrant and filled with both good and difficult experiences. It is my goal to
discover those positive experiences and replicate them into other areas of your life.”
